It was discussed at our last parish council meeting that we need to have our church basement cleaned on a monthly basis. We are looking for parishioners to volunteer to clean each month. The cleaning activities consist of sweeping, mopping and wiping tables and chairs. We will have a sign up sheet in the back of church on the bulletin board. Please help to keep our church hall clean and inviting to all who use it.
Our Mother Mary needs your help! We are down to 2 volunteers that come every Monday at St. Paul’s from 10:30 to 1:00 pm to make rosary’s that are sent all over the world. Supplies are on hand. Please find it in your heart to help out with how ever much time you can spare!
New Lisbon Food Pantry: The Pantry is open the 1st four Thursdays of each month from 8:30 am—10:45 am., and 3rd Wed of the month from 4-5pm.We will be happy to accept donations at this time also. St. Michael’s History Book: Is there any interest in continuing the history book for St. Michael’s? I have not received many responses. This would include information on Marriages, Baptisms, Confirmation, etc. This would include pictures of Choir groups, Ushers, Lectors, EM’s, etc. If there is NO interest I will not continue to keep this up. Please let me know, Shirley Finucan.
Please join us for a continental breakfast on Sunday, June 25 to honor our one and only first communicant, Johnny Tambornino. Congratulations Johnny!
A Huge Thank You to those parishioners who have served on St James Parish Pastoral Council (PPC) and Finance Council so faithfully for many years. Its now time to select new members. These Councils are set in place to advise Father on St James projects, etc. The Councils meet four times a year and occasionally when there is an emergency.
Father Letona will select the Finance Council members, but the parishioners of St James need to nominate people to serve on the PPC and then an election Will be held from those who are nominated to fill the spots. The current mem- bers of the PPC (Gary Dechant, Joe Madejczyk, Maggie Jilek, Joan Connor and Maggie Sage) are not eligible to be re-elected. It is time for them to step down and open the door to new members and fresh insights and ideas.
The Camp Douglas Food Pantry is in dire need of donations at this time. Your donations can be money or food. There will be a list of needs posted in the back of the church and a box in the back of the church for your convenience. Please help out. There are several drop spots here in Camp Douglas.
