Saint Michael
St. Michael’s PCCW meeting will be held Tuesday evening, June 14th at 6 pm in the church basement.
St. Michael’s Parish is in the process of restoring the church windows. These windows show the history of the parish family from its formation in 1870. Because of the great out pouring of love from many current and former members as of 1/17/16 the parish has $49,205.00 in donations and pledges. These funds are 98% of the total cost of $50,175.00. If you want more information please pick up a packet from the back of St Michael’s church or contact one of the window committee members: Peggy Tiber 372-2321, Kevin Quest 427-6968, or Wenzel Felber Jr. 372- 5606. Thank you for your attention and support.
“A Scrap Book History of St. Michaels”: Shirley Finucan is working on this wonderful project and is looking for your family data relating to their history with St. Michaels church. There will be a box at the back of the church for you to put your memories and pictures. (Dates of baptisms, confirmations, weddings, etc. are needed as well from 2005 on newer).
Saint James
We are happy to announce that we sold our of chicken and had a profit of $1488.26 on our annual chicken dinner for 2016. A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO CATHOLIC FAMILY FINANCIAL for providing workers to help serve the dinner along with providing placemats napkins. In addition Catholic Family Financial will match our funds up to $500. PCCW supplied all the coffee, plates, silverware and cups. Also the PCCW ladies baked bars that add a little something sweet to the meal. This year it was “wonderful” to have a full crew of people to help Friday making potato salad and a full crew to work the day of the dinner. Once again the men did a superb jov of grilling the tasty chicken. Thanks again to EVERYONE that shared their time talent or treasure.
St. James will be having a potluck on June 18th after mass to help Fr. Letona celebrate his Birthday. Come join after mass for some cake and good food. Thank you.
Please remember to donate to the Camp Douglas Food Pantry. There are several drop spots here in Camp Douglas.
